! I did it over a series of weeks, unfortunately I draw at a snail's pace and then only for a couple of hours each session; doesn't help matters when your reference is glaring out of a computer screen either but the hard work is definately worth it 
i love the backgrounds you do, the smudged black and grey creates a unique look Backgrounds are pretty much my weakest point though, really it all grinds down to laziness Hopefully I'll improve upon that a bit in the future ^_^ 
i guess having a abstract(?) background brings out the main focus on the picture
